F430 Update
I think that the kit costs £5k - so not a bad deal if one was planning on dismantling and doing it properly.

I spotted one of those 406 Coupe things back in the summer, done to a better quality than that one, but still obvious in about two seconds to anyone who knows a little about cars. He didn't look to impressed when a little Honda passed it with ease

Hey folks,
Got an email to say this thread was getting hit. Oh. wish I'd not bothered

The (real) F430 is doing very well, though not out much at the moment. That may change tomorrow if the forecast remains good for Scotland. I haven't sorned it, so I will take it out on salt-free dry days over the winter. Mileage - I've done 4500 miles since April.
I had the brake pads done a couple of months back (£800) and then it flew through an MOT for £35
I've replaced a sidelight bulb again, had the roof re-aligned as it was minutely off and rubbing against some bodywork (that was free of charge from my independent dealer) and I removed the stripes for winter.
In late January the car will be on a display stand at the SECC (for my business - we've moved into car stickers etc...).
Other than that, not much to report. I was invited to take the Countach or Diablo to Lamborghini's 50th Anniversary jaunt around Italy in May, but the price was too exhorbitant (looking at £6000+). We will take the Ferrari down to Yorkshire instead (in the spring) to see some friends.
As usual, more info on what's going on at www.facebook.com/GrahamF430 . I will be doing more stuff for weddings and shit like that next year if anyone is interested - preferably within 200 miles of Glasgow.
I'll take this opportunity to say "Happy New Year".
Interesting shot from the summer:

edit: I should add that last week I changed the manettino switch from 'sport' to 'normal' to see the difference. And it was very noticeable. Suspension softer and the revs more noticeably absent in terms of noise. Felt like I was driving something else! Funny how you get used to a car's noise and feel only to change it by a flick of a switch. I've changed it back now though. "normal" mode apparently uses more clutch, so it's back on "sport".
