Thanks NG. Called the insurance at 6:30am yesterday. Claims management said they would call me back. Still waiting. Being charitable, it could be that the car is driveable and they are snowed under with claims. Being realistic, it is probably the fact that there is no possibility of accident lawyers and replacement car involvement which makes it low priority.
Last year I had a claim when a Beemer took a liking to my tail. Within 10 mins of informing the insurance I had a call back offering replacement car and medical assistance for my non existant injuries. And of course I would need a lawyer to sort out my loss of earnings.

I think we're still in a drought though.....

Does anyone else remember the Tofu munching, horse loving leaf wearing scraggly bint on the 6 o'clock news around mid-ish March with this beauty;

"Ideally, we'd have 4 months solid of Rain to help re-secure our highly depleted rivers and reservoirs"

Be ruddy careful what you wish for! The last few months' weather has been life changingly bad for some people, merely f-in annoying and depressing for others!

Oh yeah - someone's misfortune is someone else's livelihood.

All the subsidence/heaving of houses is great news for my underpinners!

Someone's making a killing on sandbags in N. Yorks this week - just had a couple of dozen or so delivered by the council to block our patio doors.

Apparently it's going to rain today.
