I don't like Hamilton and I don't like Alonso, yet neither oft hem deserved a penalty.

The thing that confuses me most is that Vettel has left the race track and performed some dubious manouvers, yet his penalty is nowhere to be seen.

Mind you, Bernie gets what he wants and he wants Vettel to win.

DRS was the real winner in Malaysia. Despite everyone saying it would be a cake walk to overtake, it provided just enough to get the cars going into a duel and allowed for some fantastic overtaking manouvers, inparticular Webber sticking it on Massa towards the end.

Only found out through reading this that Teflonso and Hamilton have been penalised.

What a complete Joke.

Great precedent to set for the rest of the series guys !

Ferrari In-race Assistance helping out their boys once again.
I was waiting for someone to use that tired old cliché. Although the only person they assisted by these penalties was Kobyashi.
I think that it was a reference to Massa's defending maneuvers going unpunished at the Australian race.

Personally I thought that it (Alonso and Hamilton) was a racing incident, and should have not been investigated. It was interesting that Alonso said "we" came together in the post race interview. Perhaps Ferrari made a complaint ?

Life moves quickly in F1, as the controversies of Malaysia continue to rile, it is time to start thinking about the Chinese GP! So without further adue here you go!

Country:- China
Track:- Shanghai International Circuit
Date: 15-17 April

2010 winner: Jenson Button (McLaren)
First grand prix: 2004
Fascinating fact: The Chinese Grand Prix joined the F1 calendar in 2004 and has been won by a different driver each year since.

Friday 15 April:
Practice one - 0300-0430
Practice two - 0700-0830

Saturday 16 April:
Practice three - 0400-0500
Qualifying - 0700-0800

Sunday 17 April:
Race - 0800

Weather Forecast:-

Friday:

DRY

Saturday:

WET

Sunday:

WET

Big long straight could again make the DRS system useful for overtaking, particularly with the hair pin at turn 14 and large braking zone making a good opportunity for overtaking. Or at least I think the DRS zone is on the largest straight...

Is anyone else finding this DRS thing to be extremely sad / gimmicky? Ok it's added an extra dimension, but added to KERS it's just a little bit geeky imo.

It seems more palatable than turning the sprinklers on, but yes, very gimmicky.

I think F1 has always been a bit geeky!
