The Formula 1 Thread - 2011
I read an article today saying that Paul di Resta was complaining because his hands were getting pelted by the marbles of rubber when he turned onto the final corner at Malaysia. Pirelli responded by saying there was basically there was nothing they could do as that is what the teams wanted in a tyre!
Still, I bet getting pelted by little bits of rubber at 100mph+ does and half sting! I get the occasional stone hit me when having the top down at 60ish, imagine what is basically a rubber bullet hitting you every lap. Ouchies.

Some really good choices from the BBC's classic F1 this week, chosen by Buemi. Both those Senna vs Prost incidents in Japan; *that* crash at Spa in 1998, and the 2008 nail biting climax in Brazil:

Very good. Diasppointed that Hamilton won, had hoped Button could cling on but his pit error seemed to cost him.
Interesting body language between Hamilton and the Mclaren boss (Jonathan Neil) just before he went on the podium. Hamilton didn't seem too interested in speaking to him...
