weirdly this is one of a few f1 races i saw (untill about 20mins after the red flag due to rain).... i got bored of waiting
it changed my mind about F1 being boring, plenty of overtaking and last minute plunges into corners in the bits between the flags.

reguardless of what was said when the red flag came out, it was probably a wise choice due to the ammount of rain that followed.
based off this race alone, and the commentary reguarding his other affairs, i can see LH is a cock.

i might watch the next F1 event...

An excellent race and a fantastic effort by JB.

Hamilton's entourage reminded me of Snoop Dogg's crew; it can't be long before Lewis sports a race suit designed by Ecko Unltd...

Coulthard was a grumpy S.O.B. and Eddie Jordan is really getting on my tits.

I was commenting on his 'style' not his driving prowess; but apropos his effort, the old adage is appropriate - to finish first, first you have to finish.

I found him particularly annoying yesterday. Every time he opened his mouth I found myself wanting to jump into the TV to punch him. No wonder DC moved into the commentary with Brundle. He was just playing devil's advocate all afternoon.

wasnt aimed at you perhaps all this celeb status is making him try too hard.

I just think he wants to win another championship and he know's it's going to be a mission to win it this year, so that's what's causing him to try too hard. That said Martin Brundle did mention during the race yesterday about the number of overtakes in this season so far, and how Lewis was doing a larger number of them than anyone else, so it stands to reason he might get a few wrong At least he's trying, unlike Massa who didn't seem to know how to get past Kobayashi

These were my thoughts too. TBH, Rhinanna looked positively pished and Brundle did the putdown on her with his bad hair day comment!

Otherwise expect Hamilton to release a Rap single soon on how he's the greatest and he gets dissed all the time by the stewards etc etc!

This is interesting, the Stewards' report into the Hamilton/Button incident:

The Stewards have reviewed the Incident involving Car 3 (L. Hamilton) and Car 4 (J. Button) on their 7th
lap of the race. The Stewards reviewed the lines of several cars, including the two cars involved, using
multiple angles of video evidence over several laps, the speed traces of both drivers, the GPS tracking
data from the cars and have heard the drivers and team representatives.
The Stewards concluded that:
1) Exiting Turn 13 there was a legitimate overtaking opportunity for Lewis Hamilton as his speed was
greater than Jensen Button's.
2) Both drivers took lines substantially similar to many of the other drivers, and did not move as far to
the left as the preceding driver, Michael Schumacher. At the moment after Hamilton moved to the left to
pass, Button looked into his mirror. It appears from the position of Hamilton at that moment [and is
confirmed by the drivers] that Button was unlikely to have seen Hamilton.
3) At the point of contact Button had not yet moved as far to the left of the track as he had on the
previous lap, or that Schumacher had on that lap.
The Stewards have concluded that it was reasonable for Hamilton to believe that Button would have
seen him and that he could have made the passing manoeuvre. Further, the Stewards have concluded
that it is reasonable to believe that Button was not aware of Hamilton’s position to his left.
Therefore, the Stewards decide that this was a “racing incident” and have taken no further action.

I thought it was the best F1 race i've seen for quite a while. Once it actually got going.

I fully appreciate them red flagging the race when the circuit waterlogged, but why so long under the safety car after the restart.

The fact that drivers were coming in (illegally) even before the safety car pulled off to put on the Intermediate Wets shows the track had drained sufficiently for the race to continue. I think Charlie Whiting waited 3 laps too long.

But it was an excellent drive from Button from last to first place. I was on the edge of my seat for the last few laps when i realised that Button could actually win it. I would have liked to see Button overtake Vettel properly, rather than by profiting from Vettel's mistake, but the end result was the same.

Vettel did not look happy at the end of the race!

I think that Hamilton is taking a lot of unnecessary stick at the moment and i wonder what the outcome of the race would have been if he hadn't had his coming together with Button. I'm a Button fan, but Hamilton does seem to have his measure at the moment.
