I suspect Newey will have to cross the pitlane very carefully in future, now that Hamilton has been rebuffed by RBR.

Or was that what Lauda was talking about?

I don't think Hamilton will ever leave McLaren, its not like McLaren are massively uncompetitive, it is just the RBR is in a different league most of the time, but McLaren strategists are far superior to those at RBR.

McLaren has been everything Hamilton has ever known, it would be like estranging his family, I just don't think it is gonna happen and it is all just rumours fuelled by 2 bad races for Hamilton.

I actually think Hamilton is a breath of fresh air in a F1 which is now very corporate and staged, it is good to have a driver who says it like it is. Everyone knows the drivers are very competitive, it is such a shame that the PR machine tries to hide this. It is good that McLaren do not follow this philosophy and allow their drivers to speak their mind, no matter how much hot water it gets them in.

F1 would be pretty boring without Hamilton in it, you would have a field of Raikonnen's, immensely talented but oh so dull.

It's makes me laugh when I read about these rumours of Hamilton wanting away just because RBR are doing a bit better. Yes they have the edge atm, but McLaren are one of the biggest teams in the business and they have the ability to catch up. It's like writing Ferrari off, do so at your peril.

Yes but being a big team makes it very hard to be efficient to the new RRA rules, thats why they are struggling with money. Mclaren sub a lot of work as they don't do loads in house which is a no no with RRA. Thats why they had to cut 100+ jobs last year after they spent a fortune trying to keep up with RBR.

Has RBR signed the RRA agreement for 2011 - there were lots of rumours (denied of course) flying around earlier this year?

hamilton moving to red bull !!!!!!
He's been told thanks but no thanks.

Even though he seems quite keen to leave Mclaren.
mclaren are a good team.its just that red bull have got C G working for them

every now and again a team seems to have the edge.look at williams now and how bad mclaren used to be.

even button (who went straight into a williams) didnt want to go back to them when he went to bar on loan.

Hamilton just wants to drive a Newey designed car. He'll stand more chance of winning championships that way.

Ah, on reading further, it's the next RRA agreement, which replaces the current one for 2013 onwards.

I'll be very surprised if the change to the exhaust blowing thing from Silverstone onwards will make that much difference to the running order. The FIA have given Newey far too much time to think of a way around the problem.
