Rosberg was generally quicker throughout the race (I keep an eye on the live timing throughout). He was only really slower in the first session on the intermediates, but that might have been due to traffic/track position.

Pity McLaren hadn't whipped Lewis up on the jacks for a lap or two, Niko might have bought them a drink or three.

Plus if they started on the same fuel loads, then Hamilton must have got some advantage along the way using more fuel to end up with less at the end. So somewhat unfair to expect Rosberg to hold station due to Hamilton having to save fuel. I find it hard to believe Hamilton really is contractually number 1 in that team, but maybe with the amount of money they're paying him he is and that's what happened. But it seemed more like they were saying if they raced each other, they didn't believe Hamilton would obey orders.

That's somewhat unfair on Hamilton I think. You are confusing him with Vettel who showed his true colours today, and now has the gall to say he wasn't aware of the situation.

Hamilton did a couple of very fast laps to get ahead of Vettel (fastest of the race by some distance at that point), so probably used up a lot of fuel at that point, so it was a legitimate tactic to get him further up on the podium. Rosberg, of course, because of a worse qualifying and a worse start, was not in the same position, so benefited from not trying that tactic.

Nice to see a mature response from the Merc drivers, and let's hope Webber can get near enough to Vettel to cause some problems in future (unlikely, sadly).

Did I blink and miss the post race press conference or did sky not broadcast it?

Some great driving, drama, driver hissy fits and team tension.. you coudn't script it better...Either way a genuinely entertaining race,I hope we get more of the same throughout the session.

That's been replaced by the podium interviews (though they still do a "proper" press conference, which is where Vettel "apologised").

They don't now they have the (much much better) podium interviews.

I'm sure Red Bull will close ranks and it'll all appear okay by China, which is a shame as from our point of view, big public arguments are much more entertaining.

It was obvious to Lewis that in the final half of the race Nico was probably faster, but the team decided that they maintain position, this was the correct decision.

It was obvious that the RBR 'mutli21' code means whoever comes out of the last pitstop in the lead is not challenged by his team mate, the wunderkind decided he doesn't like those rules any longer as they didn't suit him. Even Dr Marco or whatever the name of the billionaire boss of RBR did not defend the 'kids cheating ways.

If i was Webber, from now on, the gloves would be off, i would race every race to the finish flag.

Total respect for Webber today after that stunt Vettel pulled. To not retaliate in that situation showed awesome self restraint and what a decent person he is. I would have just rammed into Vettel at the end of the start finish straight.

Full marks for Horner giving usual clinical smarmy post race interview dodging the question. C**k Would have made it as a politician no problems if he hadn't done F1
