It's an odd one. If what Mercedes say is true they can't possible be reprimanded over it but I can understand the other teams being pissed.
Ultimately they weren't told the compounds they were on. They're tyres for next year. I'm guessing there were no prototype parts allowed or setup changes during the test so best case the drivers got some free testing of different driving techniques to save tyres.

To be fair, Hamilton only came of age really last year. From 2007-2011 he was a super aggressive driver involved in his fair share of incidents. Vettel from 2007-2010 the same (Whitmarsh called him 'crash kid')
Give Perez another year or two to temper that aggression and there's a world class driver in there. He doesn't have the same issues as Grosjean who despite being able to drive a car round a track very quickly, doesn't seem to have the skills to go wheel to wheel or Maldonado who has no respect for other drivers and drives like he's on a video game.
