The Formula 1 Thread - 2015
Being monza, I wasn't expecting much.
Was hoping Ferrari would take the fight to Mercedes this time..
And I feel sorry for Rosberg, he could do without all this bad luck he's been having recently.
I find it more interesting to follow the Mclaren-Honda situation nowadays.
It seems that Honda grossly underestimated how difficult it would be to produce a competitive engine, which doesn't seem like the traditional japanese mindset.
Ferrari threw an extra 100 million pounds at their development, on top of their normal budget, over the 2014 winter to catch up with Merc.
Wonder what Honda will do after this season..
People keep saying that Honda are playing the long game, using 2015 for R&D in a long-term plan.
I'm not convinced, I think they have re-entered F1 clueless as to how far ahead their competitors are and they might never catch up.
At least not with the current R&D / testing regulations.

Not a great race tbh, but a great result for Lewis. He looks in unstoppable form atm, and Nico never looked like he was in the same league. I can't see Rosberg catching up 53 points. It was really sad to see Kimi stall, as he would have given Vettel a real race for 2nd/3rd.

Quite a good clip from an interview with Mark Webber. Sums up F1's problems at the moment.

I don't think you could be more wrong about a car/engine package even if you tried.
Another very interesting article by Sky F1's Mark Hughes, this time on F1 fuel.
