Spec B is mainly Bilstein suspension upgrade, alloys, brakes are larger, front bumper is different.
The spec B's tend to be loaded on the options most have SatNav, heated seats, climate control
Only the Spec B gets the 6 speed STi box. All others are Auto or 5 speed.
There was a 3.0Rn version without all the spec B bits and 17" alloys.
Same H6 engine it is an easy LPG conversion as well.
Guy in Warrington has done a few.

I've put 5k miles on mine in 3 months and love it!
Lots of character and great Q car (sometime too much so )
I'm now contemplating importing and 06/07 JDM GTB version

If you want to crawl over mine give me a shout!

Lowered S2000 with R888s and a wet road.

It teaches you throttle control you've never known.

It also teaches you reactions you've never known.

The thing is with electronic devices, none of them will save you when you barrel into a corner too fast.

Although, to most FRED users, this will be the fault of the car

Not really - just slow down a bit and be delicate with the controls.

Imagine driving in the snow (which i'm sure nearly everyone in the country has, therefore they all must be stupid too)

TBF, it's only when the tyres are cold and/or you have standing water.

Of course you have lots of experience of driving a lowered S2000 with R888s on a wet road to offer up that comment....right?

R888's and standing water = stupidity.

But wet is fine, in fact there is more grip with R888's in the damp than normal tyres.

I have plenty of experience of driving a car with R888's on, a car which has far more stability than all but the track prepped S2000.

They are lethal in very wet conditions. You would have to have a lobotomy to put them on a road car.

I'm sure the Megan R26 thing has them as OEM equipment?

Lotus Exige has a similar tyre on it too!

A048s. I took mine off and put Sport Contact road tyres on as one of the first things I did.

As trackday tyres they're great, on the road they just don't work on the Exige, it's not heavy enough to get enough heat into them, and we live in a country where a sudden downpour could easily make them unusable.

Russ bought them cheaply from me and is finding the same, as a recent thread testifies.

Test driving a vehicle recently, I discovered a new (well, new to me) FRED:

'ERM' - 'Electronic Roll Mitigation'.

Sounds cool.
