Friend just spotted a funky new speed camera van

Sprinter with a big cylinder sticking out the top with a man and a camera sat inside on the M4.

Any one else seen these?

 

There was one of those sitting on the road to Croft (circuit) last weekend for the superbike traffic.

That gave us a 100% increase in local cameras that day

 

Yes - one at the end of Roding Lane in Buckhurst Hill/Chigwell just before you head over the M11 - it's there to 'police' people heading through the roadworks.

Did think it looked a bit wierd.....

 

Are you sure this is not a CCTV mobile unit?

We have a couple our way. I thought they were speed cameras the first time I saw them. Now I know it is not as I have seen one up close as it parked nearby (the company I work for houses the CCTV system of the town). The ones our way are mounted on 2 new Fiesta vans.

 

My idea of a funky new speed camera van would look something like this

 

I'd like to see all of them like that

I'd also like the illegally parked ones booked!
