Question got pulled over for speeding

i was in a bad mood, car was going lovely and was on a nice stretch of dual caridgeway.

i saw lights coming up behind fast so i slowed down to about 80,the car followed me for a bit then blue lights.oh well i thought was nice owning an s.

i stopped, got out and approached the traffic cop.

he said everything alright sir.i said no i am an idiot and was speeding, sorry.

he then said thats a nice car,i am not going to do you for speeding but you must realise that doing those speeds could get you banned etc.

we had a nice chat about the lack of patrol cars on the roads.

funnily i dont feel like i got away with it.but i do feel more concious about speeding now.

Lucky git!

Tends to mean that he didn't manage to get a full reading of your speed, unless he used laser from a bridge or side of a road.

I was doing 110+ a 5-6 years ago and by the time they managed to do the VASCAR I had slowed to 80ish and they got me at an average 90.

Exactly the same happened to me Moff, saw them and slowed so much it ruined the average down to 94!

Jammy B@st*rd!
I overtake one car on a 60mph stretch, slow down as soon as I'm past gradually.
Unfortunately, it was over that particular stretch that Dorset police were monitoring the traffic on a July evening at about 8pm.
I was stuck behind the car doing 55mph; accelerated until level, then took foot off of the accelerator to slow, finally achieving indicated 70mph.

Average speed: 86.4mph. Guidelines state that speeds of 86.5 and over are referred to court. I think they were being nice to me...

This is the thing - Most Coppers are decent people. Its just that they are pressured to hit targets to make up 'Statistics'.

I had a similar thing. It basically means that they have no proof. And TBH I think it's just as good a deterrent, if not moreso being pulled over and having a chat.

My 3 points came from getting flashed doing 38mph. I thought it was a 40 zone until I saw the camera go off

I admit this isn't as exciting a tale as all your high-speed stories

I got stopped doing something similar whilst on the phone too.

They just told me to use my handsfree (it was in the car, I just too lazy to wear it on that day) next time.
