Thanks, Shisk!

It was about bloody time, quite frankly! So much choice & yet really no choice...

Just make sure you don't buy one with "N Graves, Sidewaysville, Hertford" on the list of previous owners

Good to have someone of your wisdom in this machine.

Must be the colour - favourite of mine too - Pensioner Blue (™Nottm_S2)

Sounds very promising for when I get tired of the V8 kick. True what people say about running out of road too quickly though.

edit: not that this is the right thread, but I think the M3 is a road eating tool.

This (a la Exige) is a love affair on the road (ouch)

I overtook an Evora the other day.

He must've been running it in, the way he was driving it. Still a lovely car, even in gloomy grey.

Overtaking with only 4,000 rpm takes some planning. Fortunately, the Subaru tractor engine is strong down there.

I've not been paying attention.

Nice one Nick, I wasn't expecting you to buy one but it's hardly a surprise.

I've seen quite a few now (the first one bizarrely in the Toyota 'showroom' on the Champs-Elysées where it couldn't be more out of place) , and I think they look great in real life

Shame I can't bring myself to let go of the E46.

If I can't own a car like Nick's right now, I can at least enjoy it vicariously through Gran Turismo 5 ...

London City race ...

Four wheel drift ...

Nürburgring Nordschleife, just after Aremburg ...

Entering Klostertal ...

Just a wheel on the grass, honest. I think it definitely looks better from behind. The front-on view isn't its most flattering, IMHO ...

Home straight, below the Schloss ...

(If Nick wants some desktop wallpapers etc., here's a zipfile containing the above and more)

You're as bad as MB. He took one look at Spa on GT5 and pronounced the lines were "all wrong". Bear in mind the game's creator is about as anal and obsessive as anyone could be about accuracy. Having watched a lot of motorsport, I'd say most of the suggested lines in the game are pretty much spot on.

It's a four wheel drift so no need to turn into it as you would when just the arse comes round. Furthermore, that's a still so you can't be certain at what point I am in the corner. I've spent a lot of (too many) hours on this game and I'll defend the car physics and realism to the hilt ...

Ok too much bum boy references for my taste but even so I would question the realism: (a) the lack of tyres smoking and (b) that back end is right outside the band of rubber on the track. Most unconvincing line IYAM. Those two people behind should be obscured by billowing acrid clouds of burning rubber.

Come to think, what's the creator's number?

edit: Still think that's over-rotated for a 4-wheel drift, it's a back end (but I'm no expert )
