Help & Advice Please.
Took the Renault in today & I have just picked up a voice message.
I was prepared to go to battle on most fronts, but hadn't anticipated this response!
They say they have been in touch with 'Renault Technical' & this is now a recognised problem which they are working to resolve.
I will apparently be contacted as soon as a solution is ready.
Hmmmmm......what should my next move be - any ideas?

If it's true, and they have the car, just wait I guess.
Maybe call them each week to ask on progress (ie. they don't keep the car until the end of the warranty and then dump it back on you 'fixed').

ask for that info to be confirmed by in writing by 'Renault technical'
explain that you need a date for it to be fixed and any more than a couple of weeks is not acceptable
Thanks Mark, Pete. Well I didn't get chance to read your responses before going to Renault. But...I spoke to the after sales manager who is clearly very adept at dealin with angry people (not that I ranted and raved!). I asked to speak to Renault tech. Support myself and now have a case code for the problem. I also awed for a fix date - they said 'before the end of April'. It has been oft that they contact me (not vice versa) before the end of April and fix the car or I will be expecting them to buy it back of me. The aftersales manager said he didn't blame me.
We will see.
We will see.
