I feel such a fuel
A fuel pump attendant was killed in Jersey a 4 or 5 years ago in a similar incident. Old git in a Honda civic auto, who kept the engine running while attendant filled the car.
Old git hadn't put the handbrake on hard enough and the car starts to move and guess what - old git hits the go pedal instead of the stop pedal. The fuel hose was behind the attendant so, as the car moves forward, it took his legs out from under him and as the attendant fell he smacked his head on the concrete plinth on which the pump was situated. The attendant was DOA.
I sometimes feel guilty when I see my parents driving as they are not what I would call safe. Also, for what the car costs to run etc. and for the miles they do, it would be cheaper to use a taxi. But how do you tell them?

You just tell them. Simple.
Imagine how you'd feel if they kill someone. "what if I'd told them"
