but i had a spare in the toolbox

it is in decent shape under here

but the BCs were quite rusty. the meat on the springs is markedly different and i need to adjust the Nitron ride height as i just slipped them back together after cleaning months ago

Wonder if your test drive will hit plod again. Make sure there's no drone up there when you go.

True enough. Which is a problem for those of us that cannot handle depreciation or throwaway stuff.

Plus, they're de-contenting (cheapening) new planks in order to fill them up with more FREDs.

Some of the stuff is plain daft - cars that eat timing chains as fast as maybe two timing belts. And oil-bathed timing belts so they last as long as a timing chain. WCPGW?

The ZF 'lubed-for-life' slushbox was equally as daft. Yes, the life of the lubricant, not the box.

Cleaned and prepared decking for treatment tomorrow+
Knelt on earbud cable whilst doing this and ripped cable out of one side, bugger, those Bose were pretty good sounding and comfy for hours, out of production now-
Slightly red from the sun but not uncomfortable +
Not a wee drink night-
Ah well.

In addition to computer upgrades (another thread), have put some new pedals on the pushbike - the originals were plastic smooth things, so not good in the wet. Halfords provided some basic metal ones with reflectors and foot grips - not slipping off the pedals in the wet is a big improvement

Needs new rear brake pads (hopefully arriving today).

Decking treated today, that’ll do till normality resumes and I can get more stuff, the fence is calling but that’s for another day, a snooze in the sun is priority, cheque for SORN refund arrived too, that’ll sit for a while.
