The orange one pictured is the GT3 roadcar "concept". We worked on that in parallel with a racecar.
Sadly the racecar didn't perform especially well (something to do with the engine) and the rest is history..

But they do seem to be actively asking for owners opinions on it for a saleable road car, Tim?

Actually, over the years, I have come to suspect "insiders" say something for a laugh, or the press just makes it up on the spot.

There are sooo many rumours that are just bollocks, but that I suppose sound plausible at the time. They are later to be found without substance.
Spot on.
It's always amusing to read autocar or auto express and see what rubbish they've made up on any given week. Even to the point of knocking up their own photoshopped images which then get caught up in internet folklore..

Tim - you work at Lotus? Legend

What bit? I get the impression they are a very interesting place to work for. Certainly as a customer you get the feeling you have access to all the technical people you need very easily through the dealer. Very refreshing. They also seem interested in customer feedback.
Styling studio.
It can be interesting at times, depends on the job and who else is working on it, same as any other job I guess..

Can't really comment on a public forum, I've probably said too much already.
PM me if you really want to know!

I got an invite from my dealer to go and have a look / try of the Evora as they have got an exclusive borrow of it for a few hours!

Really pissed off as I can't make it

Really is growing on me.

Might have some pics coming.

Tim, dunno how much you worked on the Evora but for those that did well done that man I think there's one angle I don't like about 20 deg rear of side on otherwise it's a lovely looking motor. If all the figures are as reported then I will be looking at it very closely

But it's not quick enough. It's needs to be 300bhp minimum to get into that market. It's sub boxster level. It's only going to be marginally quicker than an S at that spec.

My thoughts too, power to weights ratio is a good measure of performance at lower speeds, but add a lot of drag and the power to weight ratio means little

Needs more shove
