I'll put money on the possibility that the first car with 280bhp will be the Evora S,
Couldn't agree more.

But the timing of the release is terrible-it may fail for this reason alone

Must mean the NSX is too slow also then!

I suspect they will copy the Exige naming and keep it Evora and the SC will be Evora S.

Besides, the supercharged Elise is called an SC.

My dealer chappie reckons the supercharged Evora will be along soon.

That's probably why I won't buy one until later. I'm due to change my car in 2010 (and the Elise is such an extension of me that I see no reason to do so before that), so I'm hoping the supercharged version will be out by then. I expect 997S performance though, although I'd be happy to compromise on top speed for suitable acceleration.

I'd guess it will be well over 350 bhp if a roots blower is strapped to it.

For me it's too close to the price of a new GTR though.

The price for a top spec Exige S is 45k which is a lot of wedge when you look around

Different cars though. I'm sure the GT-R will be phenomenally quick, but I'm not convinced a Playstation car will be more enjoyable to drive than something hand built like a Lotus.

Yeah i'm not sure - I think it's in the same kind of bracket.

It's a different type of enjoyment between the 2 though.

Sometimes I think the STi 5 I had was the most enjoyable car, just because it was absolutely ridiculous in terms of grip. That had no driver aids, but it was AWD like the GTR. Evo was also very good, hooligan mobile

Just depends what you like, but i'd never dismiss them as not fun personally.

You can't say that on here.

The Honda jockeys will have you stoned to death for such common sense.

I like Lotus cars, but find them over priced, bet the new one is the same too

They are still quite 'handly' in spite of the 4wd.
