M3 CSL
Agree with Gads comments, there does seem to be large gaps in values between cars with sub 20k miles and cars with nearer 30k miles. I would say 30k is the ball park figure for a good car with xenons and cd. There seem to be loads of tinkering you can do to suspension, I read that there is geo setting similar to the optimum s2k setting which makes it better still. I also read that the std brakes on track are not good and the ap conversion is widly used. Black ones are very rare and look very nice. Id love one and although I take on board that to the layman it looks just like any other 3 series the fact that only 400 produced (i think) and every petrol head knows the difference is another appealing part of the car.
Graham, I think it would be ideal too - just I would have to get over the mental hurdle of owning a saloon car again

I love listening to the crazy Japs. I don't know what they are saying, but you just know they are having fun
The power of the M5 6 mins is is pretty amazing - after a nice drift!
The GTR winning at the end was pure Jap Hollywood though
Polemicist - I sort of know what you mean, although I have never bought a car on it's looks first.

I don't bother with them anymore, they mean nought.
I love mine to bits. It's the best saloon car you can buy if you like to peddle quickly (it goes way beyond my limits). The gearbox is frustrating as hell in traffic but paddle shifting is just so
SMG is the sort of thing that you either love or hate so try one out first.
The brakes are not up to much - they didn't last more than a handful of laps at Bedford so factor in

[QUOTE=Boab01,Oct 23 2008, 04:39 PM] This is how it begins Mark, you're already twitching for a new car!
I now have a pact with my wife that I can't buy a new car without giving her

Nothing will beat my current car for fun, and I doubt many will beat it for pace... so as i've said before, I will only change it if I have to.
Never, ever get into a S1 Elise with a S/C Honda conversion.
You will want one immediately. I went it one a Combe yesterday.
Oh. My. God.
