I'd rather have syphilis than a diesel-thats DEFINATELY not a diesel!
Yes agreed!

Diesel is nasty, I spend my working life working with quite big diesel engines, they are Satan spawn.

Definitely couldn't have one in my personal life as well, think I would be suicidal! I don't know how anyone puts up with the depressing noise every morning to be honest.

Audi R8 V10 though...

In saying that, the Audi V12 TDI is an absolute masterpiece of engine design and performance.

You made the mistake of changing lanes to let him past or did you have no choice as your lane was clear ahead? Should have made the arrogant bastard wait as long as possible and then move over VERY slowly.
Baiting BMW drives is great fun, the more so if you're in an old banger or something modern but really cheap and low powered.
Had to drive my wifes Aygo today and had all day to drive a few miles. Enjoyed winding up a BMW X5 or whatever that sat within inches of my arse as I bumbled along at 40mph max. along a busy single lane 50mph limited very wet road. Traffic meant there was no way it could get past but come a longish stretch of empty road the stupid bint driving the KrautWagen was incapable of taking advantage and she just sat there wrongly assuming I would feel threatened and drive faster.
The thing is IF she had left a sensible and safe gap I would have accorded her the
courtesy of ensuring she could overtake at the first opporunity.

I have a rule that is communicated in an invisible message in the rear window, which is applied whatever car I'm driving
'THE NEARER YOU COME - THE SLOWER I GO'

You sound like a great guy.

And a real 'Knight of the road'

Good to see professional drivers upholding the standards.

Getting a kick out of annoying other roads users is just wrong.

60 in the fast lane another game you play maybe?

You and your kind are the bane of UK roads.

Aye I do this, closer you come, slower I go.

It is what the highway code tells you to do AFAIK, or was anyway!

Increase the distance between you and the car in front to ensure a more progressive braking so the guy in behind does not go up your ass.

Plus it is great fun!

Slowing down when someone tailgates you is the correct course of action IAW Highway Code.

As for the people that get a kick out of annoying other road users, what a sad, sad bunch.

They're probably the same sort that cannot wait for 15 seconds to overtake people on push-bikes safely and will nearly run us off the road.

Most of the 'pimped' RRS, X5's and Cayenne's around here seem to be driven by middle-aged men, balding, skinny, IT types that have obviously watched too many episodes of the Sopranos. Apparently blacked out windows on your ridiculous 4x4 should be enough to make people fear you. Amusing, however, when a guy resembling a balding Bill Gates emerges out of the drivers door.

Since flash Bimmers are a favourite of drug dealers & the like, it's a probably best to ensure you are tired of life before indulging in such silly games.

I generally let people like that have their way so they can have an accident with someone else instead
