cheers mark

i've never understood the issue with removing plates from pics (but i've just updated these ones for you!)

unless you're doing something illegal/stupid in the pics then what's the problem with having the plates displayed?

i'm sure on our jockmeet pics our plates were displayed all the time.

am i missing some sort of obvious nastiness that people can get up to if they know you're reg number?

Its just better safe than sorry. For one, people seem to be able to find where you live and therefore where your car lives. Secondly people like scamming number plates and putting them on their own car, apparently.

Ive just always been advised against it.

PS - what exhaust is that? Doesnt look like the HKS Hiper beast that the FQ comes with?

PPS - most envious of the colour - I wanted dark grey.

Lat comment - not sure if you knew about the clutch, but dont sit with it in gear and the clutch pressed in for very long - it knackers it over time.

Ive got into a great habit of popping it out of gear when waiting for lights to change - traffic etc.

afaik it's the standard exhaust - so whatever is on it when it comes from japan as just an "mr". not sure tbh. i think the hks super-beastie is fitted in the uk to the 320 and above.

i'm actually still kind of unclear as to exactly what the differences are between the mr models. so many conflicting bits of info on the MLR.

i've read about the clutch so i make sure i have it out of gear at lights and on hills etc as much as possible. have generally always done that with all my cars though.

interesting to see somebody else thinks thats a good idea.

Since starting driving with a Consul 375 i have done that and also managed to convince my kids its a good idea on any vehicle.

Mechanical sympathy at its best imo

that grey looks great on the car , similar to my V70 t5
