It's the Evora engine, and the Evora handles nicely even with an extra 400kg and same layout.

This is going to be the monkeys testes!

rralston managed to nearly scare me in his tuscan on a damp 'ring, locking his rears at 120+ due to a fluffed gear change. Interesting times.

But I'll echo the above thoughts, Lotus haven't in recent times released a stinker with regards to handling.

The Evora has a huge wheelbase/track & the extra mass compensates for the extra mass of the engine.

It's not somuch that as the big engine plus a snail that seems a bit of a jump. Guess I just still associate it with the S1 & the tiny K-series. I mean, the VX was quite grunty & it was only supposedly the turbo surginess that made it tricky.

Yep, but the new Exige has a much wider track too. Car looks a little longer also.

It will be perfection

I hope so - we desperately need an antidote to all the pointless, boring cars made by everyone else.

Easier said than done; most things seem to be very mainstream, heavy & with a lousy ride & numb steering.

At least Lotus has the rarity & the steering fixed. Well when I say fixed...

Got nowt to do with the thread specifically but quite chuffed we're supplying the 1.8 Supercharged engine for the Elise
One of the guys at work said he got to have look at the V6 whilst he was down there keeping an eye on the trial engines a week or so ago
