NSX...
[QUOTE=lovegroova,Jul 12 2008, 07:35 AM] The dash itself is quite hard to read. the tacho is fine, by the speedo is tiny and it's difficult to identify speed. The digital speedo in the tacho is much smaller than that in the S and again, is hard to read. Not impressed.
Gearbox is ok, but not as good as that in the NSX and of course nowhere near that of the S.
Nice noise from the engine, but there is an irritating engine whine when cruising.
Steering and handling is good, although the steering was a little light for my taste, the rear steers well on the throttle (salesman has no idea what I was talking about when I referred to this - rambled on about the boxer giving a low CofG). The ride was poor though, quite crashy and probably attributable to the blingin 19" wheels (

It's VERY similar to my Boxster experience. They're somehow too competent, but not special.
Although the ride was fine in the boxster, but it only had 18's on IIRC.
It's strange how my M3 rides well on 19's. It shouldn't really.

All 2002 cars onwards I think.
It's a Marmite thing, IMHO the pre 2002 car looks better until you switch the lights on.
Which as a driver you don't see that often.
Oh and at 150mph plus flashing the headlights is a big no no.
I prefer the design purity of the earlier cars and I'm sure that they drive better on the tiny wheels.
Having said that, the bodykit and fixed headlights reduce drag on the later cars and the mass, helping to compensate for the thicker ally used (from the Targa), so I like the design elegance of the later ones.
There is a huge debate amongst NSX owners; early lightweight 3.0 or later, more refined 3.2? Or intermediate (like Simon's)? That's BEFORE the Coupe vs Targa one opens up!
