What is "Honda's section"? Must be nice if people wank over it.

[QUOTE=Subaru2000,Jul 16 2008, 03:45 PM] Interesting review

Referring to the various comments, (I don't know how to splice my own text into yours to respond)

When you mention you can't see the road properly, the seat in the S2000 is higher by comparison, my 03 S2000 didn

Sub's right; Porsches are about as interesting (or refined) as a M-B at 80.

Thrash them and it all comes together and makes more sense.

But LG's right about these stupid options; you can either make or wreck the car by ticking the wrong boxes. PASM should be mandatory with various wheel options and others probably should have poseur warning label.

The more I convince myself the more the NSX makes sense.

I can agree with this, I was driving my mate's Boxster S again the other night round some local twisties. The engine has a really useful sweetspot at around 5.5k rpm, you can stay in same gear and concentrate on maintaining the attitude of the chassis - the engine really sings at these revs too and you get a feeling of thrust.

I can really respect the car and it does a lot of things right, but I can't love it like the S; with the Boxster you're still merely driving it, the S is much more intense, almost visceral.

That's absolutely what it comes down to: I prefer the NSX over the Porsches, because it makes everything an occasion, just like the S2000 does.

I know the Clarksonesque moan that german cars are too good, too boring is a cliche, but I find there is an elephant of truth in it.
