Blimey!

What's that gonna be worth in three years' time...

At that price if you intend on running it into the ground, who cares!

I saw a 14 plate Corsa yesterday, doing nothing other than produce massive clouds of grey smoke.

Running it into the ground may happen quicker than you are used to...

I'd be happier with an ancient Leg End - and a small tanker-load of pertoleum - for 14 large.

New-shape models tend to be regarded as 'sought-after' and are not discounted. That's about the same discount as I got on the 86.

For a bubble, I Carwowed an XE R when they were first announced and at best got three bag off.

any new car will suffer horrific depreciation but surely the glut of new metal on PCP and other anaesthetic drugs (ironic name?) will only make that worse than ever

i was offered a pug 308gti for £21k which looks better value than a focoff. i followed one of those Focoff aRSe today, he kept accelerating up to traffic so it would pop on overun. he looked a reeet cnut to me, talk about trying too hard

nothing really appeals to me and i suppose it is a function of age. my SC S2 is the most bang for buck i could think of, plus you can imprint your own twisted mentality on a modded car without worrying what RBS will make of your spannerwork

new cars are heavier - bad
they cost a packet in depreciation - bad
they generally have smaller, turbo'd motors - bad
they are geared for economy - bad
they have fake sound - even trump says that's bad and he's a womble
they have an ipad in the dash which will be broken and unresponsive in 3 years - bad

my youngest car is 10 next year.. i do have a 17 plate bike though because they aren't shit for some reason

You're still young Jason and every automotive experience must be ... an automotive experience.

Me and Gaddafi can see the place for a dead boring utterly reliable small machine to get from A to B.

You will get there with a few more years although maybe not, a bike is always going to be a lot quicker. And sweatier.

p.s. what you say about depreciation/PCP is bang on. So the city car will be bought at 2 to 3 years old

List price £17,520
First offer £16,081 8.2% - including "£500 additional saving if you take a test drive" - who wouldn't take a test drive?

I had a quote like that (amount)

When I asked if the £2000 scrappage allowance just announced would come off that figure I was told only £1000 would come off "due to the carwow" discount

They just can't help themselves can they

Crooks to a man/woman

I don't like the idea of paying £15K ish for something that will halve in value in two years

I'd rather buy the two year old for £6K to £7K, not worry about the initial scuffs and have something worth £3K in another couple of years

I am getting meaner as I get older
