nothing really appeals to me and i suppose it is a function of age. my SC S2 is the most bang for buck i could think of, plus you can imprint your own twisted mentality on a modded car without worrying what RBS will make of your spannerwork

new cars are heavier - bad
they cost a packet in depreciation - bad
they generally have smaller, turbo'd motors - bad
they are geared for economy - bad
they have fake sound - even trump says that's bad and he's a womble
they have an ipad in the dash which will be broken and unresponsive in 3 years - bad

my youngest car is 10 next year.. i do have a 17 plate bike though because they aren't shit for some reason
There's very little to corrupt on a bike, though. Well, until the anti-Darwin Nazis start sticking autonomous-driving servos on the headstock and bar controls and air bags all over them...you'll need a pannier for the FREDs.

A neighbour has a Mountune-abused Focoff ST. The exhaust looks - and sounds - ridiculous. But then again, I've been threatened by da Babylon over a standard exhaust in the past...

I don't like the idea of paying £15K ish for something that will halve in value in two years

I'd rather buy the two year old for £6K to £7K, not worry about the initial scuffs and have something worth £3K in another couple of years

I am getting meaner as I get older
Next offer in: £15,474 11.7% discount.

see I could be interested at £15ish less the £2K scrappage but I will be amazed if they'll take the £2K off that figure

Oh no, it'll be £2k off the massively overinflated list price

I have a 2015 M135i and i love it. Its quite and comfy for the daily drive around but put it into sport and its quicker than most things on the road. Proper dual personality car. That being said i have now had it almost a year and when purchasing it was between this and an e92 m3 and the itch to swap for the m3 is there just for the added drama.

That's the age I'm looking for. Anything you can recommend looking out for when buying. Any big issues during ownership ?

I've had my e92 m3 for nearly 3yrs now and have been commuting in it for a year and still enjoy pretty much every drive in it, it does everything very well. Either in traffic it's nice cos the dct rolls so easy and it's comfortable or on open roads for the revvy v8.

Touch wood it's not cost me a penny so far other than 2 services in the 30k I've done with it (first one I did was covered by service pack). I really can't think of any car I'd want to replace it with, not one that I can afford anyway.

My view is the E92 M3 is a GT car.. not that involving, reduced sense of speed.. but you could cruise at 100mph for 8hrs (somewhere abroad).

it's fairly robust, weak bottom ends are probably due to hard use/lax ownership/long service intervals

throttle actuators are carried across from the parental v10 and are still weetabix box quality

interior rattles common

seats uber comfortable and supportive

they age well

The top level Harmon Kardon surround sound in my just sold M3 used to rattle teeth and vibrate pelvic floors.
