...resprayed panels
The wifes Jazz had a few panels resprayed by a local firm here. Most of the work was fine apart from the rear qaurter panel and bumper where the paintwork has that orange peel effect.
Fair play to the sprayer, he did have it in again today to machine polish it smooth but I have to say I'm still not overly impressed with the job. It is slightly better but not much.
Anyone had this happen before and can anything be done. I'm not convinced it can be polished out as it seems to be quite deep in the paint.

Orange peel can be down to a number of things. Paint reaction is one, silicone can cause it, too much paint too quickly is the most common.
It can often be flatted, but it depends how bad it is.
Without seeing it its difficult to comment.

I you get a bargain spray job from the cash-in-hand place round teh back of the railway then you just have to put up with it.
If it's supposed to be a quality paintjob from a respected bodyshop then it should look perfect, and it should be blended to match the rest of the car.
As said above, you shouldn't be able to tell it was resprayed.
