Its the zimmer in my sig - I dont really want it back.

I dont think there is any way that it isnt her fault - she doesnt have a leg to stand on - I have a police incident number to back this up.
She hasnt got a prayer of claiming its your fault no matter what you actually slowed/braked for. She should have adequate room to stop no matter what you're following. Mind you, dont think i'd stop for flying rats but i know people mean by natural reaction..

Obvoiusly depending on the year, there is a good chance it will be repaired.I personally would get shot of any car if it happened to me.

At least your safe, and the insurance company are playing the game, and sorting you out

The car is worth probably 20.

Anyone have any idea what theyll do?

Did they say how long it would take - being as how you're having a hire car for that time?

Since it's 50:50 the hire car may well push it towards write off.

60 - 70% of value is usually the rule of thumb but it varys a lot so it depends on the car hire I suspect.

Are you sure it is a like for like on the loan car or can they palm you off with a micra?

An insurance company will probably not be paying those rates for a courtesy car...

Get that loan car ASAP.

helphire are providing it, apparently it wont be just a micra and I should get something comparible to the M3 - sure I wont get something quite as nice but a larger saloon car Im sure - they are due to call me to sort this out. Helphire bill the insurers back, well the third parties insurers - Im just hoping the 2 costs together + the unknown things that could go wrong will tip the balance.
