Speeding ticket
Greg,
Keep trying...
You are very good at spouting words without actually saying anything.
I will summarise the thread for you.
1. The original poster asked a question about getting evidence having received a NIP.
2. I suggested that you should not ask for "evidence" when receiving a NIP, but instead ask for the material in order for you to assess who was driving at the time. I see this as helpful advice and hope the original poster does to.
3. You do what you do, be it in an attempt to make youself look clever or whatever. You admit my advice was correct but insinuate and then state that I am talking bollocks. I don't see that as being in anyway helpful.
But of course, you know better.

Cider I'm pretty sure Greg is Plod.
I tend to agree with you that Greg has said your, shall we say "not totally correct" however has not been forthcomming with his reasoning.
I'm not saying either of you are correct but please guys, if your going to say someone is incorect, please do share your obvious greater knowlege to benifit us all. after all what is the point of being told your are wrong, if you never know why!

whenever a copper is behind me my speed will now drop to well below the speed limit. Hopefully it will annoy them when I am in a 30 zone.

My issue is with the fact that he has picked an ill conceived argument with me on a point I made which he backs up himself in other posts.
On top of that, the delusion of grandeur in the subsequent posting is cringe worthy and slightly amusing (as is the regular editing of his posts a few hours after posting!)

So, come on darling, do tell me.... what exactly have I posted on this thread that you think is bollocks?
But you didn't ask nicely

Cards on the table: My Step-Father-in-Law was until last year the magistrate in charge of all fixed penalty offences in east yorkshire.
After my wife being caught bang to rights by a stealth speed camera van, I can share the following advice, given to her:
If you did it, they will get you. You can't hide. Just pay the money, apologise and hope for the course to avoid points.
If you know that you didn't do it, then say so. Front up, hire a lawyer, go to court and see it through till the death.
It is (in E Yorks at least) extremely rare that the police mess up with calibration/training etc. It is feasible that you *might * be able to muddy the waters over who was driving, but they will simply prosecute the registered keeper. The NIP usually states this intent.
Caveat: This advice is 2 years old and may only apply in E Yorks, as different counties do it differently.
Edit to make smiley work
