ime most neighbours are more likely to be gossip mongers rather than part of some quaint home-spun idea of a community and country people are among the worst for making newcomers welcome

I had a builder doing some work, one wall borders the same dickheads land. I said to the builder "just knock on their door and OK access before you start as I've not seen them"
He did, they were arsey as hell with him apparently. Then later arsey with me. Same people who complained about my garage build without talking to me suggested I talk to them first. f@#king self obsessed twats. We'll come to blows one day I swear, but I have a few witnesses re behaviour and he won't be hard to give a hiding to. And it won't be me who starts it.
