it would be the most remarkable coincedence if my neighbours were also my friends

they are on a par with acquaintances - people I acknowlege and try to keep on good terms with - no more, no less

ime most neighbours are more likely to be gossip mongers rather than part of some quaint home-spun idea of a community and country people are among the worst for making newcomers welcome

there are simple rules for how you live, some written, some cultural norms - anyone breaking those rules should expect grief from neighbours to officialdom or choose somewhere else to live

As a matter of fact, my first contact with these c0cks was to give them a roll of black plastic the day they moved in. To keep their dogs safe. Some people have short/no memories

Or are just far too wrapped up in themselves and how important they think they are

Different paces of life isn't it - you need a place with no neighbours, trust me, it works wonders for the blood pressure

*chuckles* I did 10 years in inner city Hull. You do get less for murder and if i hadn't escaped 'neighbours' i think that would have been next.

This.

I had a builder doing some work, one wall borders the same dickheads land. I said to the builder "just knock on their door and OK access before you start as I've not seen them"

He did, they were arsey as hell with him apparently. Then later arsey with me. Same people who complained about my garage build without talking to me suggested I talk to them first. f@#king self obsessed twats. We'll come to blows one day I swear, but I have a few witnesses re behaviour and he won't be hard to give a hiding to. And it won't be me who starts it.

Rog.. don't let it escalate like this is my only advice.

No worries Jason, it is not escalating here. No noise since I spoke and got shown the door. Blissfully quiet tonight. Sorted

If I get any problems I will issue a contract.

What's your rate?
