True, but in the unwritten guide to dangerous street racing Section 14c states, "pushing someone along is tantamount to victory"
that's a rule for losers

I dictate the pace = I win

following is almost always easier than leading too

Get an EVO

Im kind of glad I went with it over the Subaru. While I still have a soft spot for the brand, the UK spec cars dont cut it for what I want - and the 03 onward import STi's seem to be a bit on the shady side.

EVO is very rare and does have a better image for that reason.

It is attracting a massive amount of unwanted attention though. Ive perfectly legitimately overtaken people on dual carriage ways and been flashed at, carved up, beeped at, and had wanker gestures for nothing that I wouldnt have done in the S.

Had a massive ****er pull right up behind me at the lights earlier on, in a new X type Jag, nearly bumber touching. He leaned right up to his window and started giving me the wanker gesture. For what reason? He was one of those blokes with a handle bar moustache (so clearly in the SAS or the Village People) He would have kicked my ass What a loser.

This is the downside to owning such a car. I have also had the reverse reaction of thumbs up from random pedestrains etc.

are you finding the MPG much worse than the S?

and exactly what is the cost of the 4500/6-month AYC service from a dealer/indie?

Mark, honestly, how does it compare to your STi-5? Was your STI a Type R/RA? What power did you have in the STI? I'm defo leaning on going that route but I must admit I don't look forward to the way you get treated as a Scooby driver - pretty much everyone hates you. Normally I just give them more reason to

Nice, sounds encouraging. I remember you saying you once played with an S2000 in it. Was that when it had 330bhp or when it was standard? According to letstorque with 330bhp an V5 should be around 10.5s to 100mph and therefore would nail an S2000.

When it just had the headers and decat I pulled reasonably slowly past one in a drag. On the way home from Bob mapping it, pouring rain, I had one behined me, 2 up. From the lights I was pulling a good gap then the gap ceased to increase at higher speeds. I was amazed that he was keeping with me on wet bends. More amazed to see a bloke in his late 40's, with his missus in the seat!

It did do well against me. So I bought one There's no way it would have done me though.

Anyway, off drinking now

Hopefully I shall pull a stunner. Er....

Evos or Scoobies - boring dick waivers. Apologies to any such past owners here, as you have now, obviously, seen the light.

Porsche 928GTS.
