It's odd how 2 track drivers can have such different styles though. I'm thinking smooth a silk Button, versus Hamilton (maybe not the best example)

I've also seen Dirk wossisname lapping the Ring in the new GTR like a sunday cruise, but setting a near record time, whereas the Jap guy who got the record is completely banzai

Certainly the most interesting lap I've ever seen of the Nordy; showing off the STI's offroad ability

He's definately using the chuck it in and try and have it point at the exit asap technique; Turn in early, lift off, bosh, power.. avit chimp!

Yeah funny isn't it. When I started racing I thought it should all be smooth, then I realised that it is far from smooth! Still varying styles and different levels of raggedyness, but watching the guy that won our series last year he isn't smooth at all. Even watching the F1 drivers some seem to be fighting the whole time and some just cruise around.

I think some people just are incapable of feeling for grip.
They tend towards sawing at the wheel.
My pal has navigated for a few fairly quick rally drivers, and he will even tell you that one or two can olny judge sideways by how much they are seeing in the side windows.
Which would worry me as a co-driver!
