People often get mistaken between 0-60 and 0-62. Most manufacturers use the 0-62, but most magazines use 0-60. If the magazine does not fully test the car they show manufacturers figures as default.

IIRC a real 62mph can only be achieved in 3rd gear, so a 0-60 in the S2000 is easily achievable in 2nd in 6 secs or a little under i.e the 5.6 that Autocar managed. A 0-62 requires a gearchange and delays the times slightly. I might be wrong though!
Yep thats my pet hate...... so many car forum users who directly compare 0-60 and 0-62 times...... 2mph may seem small but try plotting times on a graph and that extra 2mph can make a difference....... in something like the TT there can be near half a second between the 0-60 and 0-62 times!

By the time I finish updating my car I would expect a 0-60 in less than 5s.
Hmmm, that sounda bit of a tough one, even with the changed final drive (definitely need third gear then). What do you reckon your 0-100 will be Steven?

Grip and cornering speeds are simply amazing in the Box....... I said the same about the stook when I had it but the 987S is a major step ahead IMHO (MUCH better that the old Boxster S).

Straight line difference with the S2000 is still small. For me the Boxster S has the edge in overall ability but the S2000 is a tad more exciting to drive.

S2000 still rules when it comes to value for money.

Both fantastic cars.

No idea ...... but I did manage to trounce a new shape Boxster S the other night. Went round the outside of him on a long left hand bend

Lack of balls on his part methinks.

You might be right.....

Boxster drivers only ever go fast round corners on track. - unless they owned an S2000 previously

Hang on though, they never go on track either, so........
