Default Thinking of getting Navman F20

Dixons have one of these going quite cheap at the moment and speed camera alerts is a big part of my reason for buying. But i wondered if you can you actually hear or see these alerts if you're hammering along with the hood down. Or directions, for that matter - it's certainly tough to see much of the dashboard (except the tacho!) or hear the indicators under some sunny/noisy conditions.

I believe there's a thread somewhere for a mounting bracket that clips to the dash trim somehow - would that help?

GPS virgin - any comments/suggestions, particularly with regard to F20, gratefully received.

I have an Navman icn320 and used it for the first time with the hood down.
Had to squint to see what it was showing on the screen and turn the womans voice up so I could barely hear it.
I was hacking along the M25 at the time once you slow down a bit there is a lot less wind noise so you can hear it.
My only problem was the battery only lasts about 2 hours and my journey was 2 1/2 hours so I had frantically change the position of it to the centre console so I could plug it into the power outlet. But I could hear the womans voice easier.
