GTR - with a remap

S2000 - with nitrons/ohlins or good springs etc, a 2nd hand aftermarket manifold, 2nd hand aftermarket exhaust and a 2nd hand aftermarket ECU - might as well take out the aircon, wheel, toolkit etc for weight

Job done

Whats that 7-8k for an earlier S and 45k for a 2nd hand GTR? - or you getting a new GTR?

That's what i'm thinking AJ

The S can also be used for shopping trips and stuff then too. Were I don't use the Lotus for that and it just sits waiting for the next track day

TBH I could just have an S as I can't justify having 2 cars by any means.

GTR wouldn't be new - 6-12 month old one which by next year will be £45k

So I will go test drive one to make sure, run the Evo through winter, then do some changes next year. Think the Lotus may go next wek

But the CSL idea is also a strong contender.

Seriously, ok ferarris 360 have the badge but i think there are better cars than the 360, I'm not saying the 360 is a bad car far from it.

I'd personally have a GTR over a 360, but i do like both cars. And Nissan make relatively reliable today to day cars.

I'm fortunate enough to have had a go in one i felt be at home with the 360.

Shite pics the GF took the camera and fogot the batteries.

Pot / Kettle Mr K!

Aj - Dan, a 360 was definately on my list but even dealers tried to put me off buying one.

This months copy of Evo just landed on the doorstep, and there is a very interesting article about an £11k 500 bhp turbo conversion to a Cayman S....

I'd be doing this the other way around I think; A good everyday moocher; M3 for example, and a dedicated track weapon for major jollies at weekend and on track, Caterham R500, CSR etc.

Oh, hold on.. that's pretty much what you have now isn't it ..

I'm now completely confused

How about this..

Rangerover Sport/BMW X5 for everyday lording, shopping and running over peasants with etc, Caterham R500, and a nice trailer for it. Job done.

I'm still wondering how, if you think a Lotus is too impractical for travelling to trackdaysl, a CSL makes it onto the list.

Rides like a horse and cart on UK roads.
