I thought the GT3 was a good one UF! Still think this will be more fun.

On a smile per pound basis ... i think this will pee all over the GT3 - lovely car but such a LOT of money. That said, if i could afford one, i'd have had one too

Still think you'll end up purchasing a GTR at some point though or maybe a nice NSX-R

I think ( might be wrong ) that anyone who can pilot one of these at speed is a very skilled man whereas the GT3 could make a part driving god out of far too many.

For a limited series I've always seen it as the other way around to be honest - as it just means the guys with the deepest pockets have theirs re-valved half a dozen times, and the guys without the cash can't do any quick adjustments that would help them match 'em

So I had the car at Castle Combe last week and Donington yesterday. Plan was to get used to it but mostly to get the old man up to speed. Very much enjoyed giving some coaching. Also really noticed how 3 years of racing has changed my driving and approach to a circuit.

The car is just a weapon. Its so precise you can start chasing tenths here and centimetres there. Great fun. The bit which needs a lot of getting used to are the brakes. The car just has standard pads (not race ones) but does have the race pedal and master cylinder, so there's almost no initial bite and near zero pedal travel. Going to make some adjustments there as I think there's a couple of seconds to be had on the brakes. More of an issue I think would be that they are manageable in the dry, but would be very difficult to modulate in the wet.

Looking forward to the Sadev box being fitted in coming weeks

Here's a little lap from yesterday. Not particularly quick but a clear lap and lots to work on! Compared to the S I wasn't getting on the power at the right time, but I had limited seat time to play.

Nice vid

I'm thinking of doing the kit car thing instead of renovation. Might be less hassle for me and my dad as a first real project.

looks like you have to change gear lots !

can u mod the engine at all or does that invalidate the class for racing?

Yep! Sequential will help a lot with that. Just being fitted now I think. As above, no engine mods planned.

Also just checked and it's almost exactly 2 seconds per lap quicker than the fastest lap iv'e done in the S. I reckon the S now would be a lot closer... We shall see!

So the sequential got fitted, and its great

Here's a little clip from Brand. Cold and still drying out but the car was awesome round there. Had a little issue with 6th so some tweaks are being done to the setup of the box, but otherwise flat upshifts work very nicely! Love it.

Does the upsidedown rear view help with down force?
