Today I bought
Indeed, a nightmare I should think.
But for some reason the red (but not the white, grey or blue frozen ones I understand) is a matte vinyl wrap. Mine was removed by the first owner which is a bonus. I just had a parking gouge (rear panel and side skirt) repaired for less than the insurance excess 'no problem'

I was tempted by the Alpine white for that reason, having bits painted on it is so easy which on the Mineral white will mean lots of blending in to get it right
One for the M ho's

The depreciation is steep but this is an everyday car, not a toy wheeled out at weekends.
Mine is a workhorse for the conmute and kid run which can also do it sideways if you want and do 0-100 in 10 if you are german.
I think the M3 is quite unique. That engine is very special imo
