softer foam underneath then a piece of harder closed cell stuff on top - it mimics the factory stuff well. Gaffer tape with spray glue over the top of that to hold it together. Once the cover is pulled back over / on you'd never know. I cut away the dead stuff and cut this to fit in the hole i made.

She is. A very good one. We have a workshop between garages and house so its warm and dry but not making a mess anywhere that matters

Got one patch that needs a light sanding to help the dye key bit that's it. Really cant complain!

Will see how long it lasts - i dont expect them to see much abuse and i don't wear stuff that has high wear finishes ( no jeans with studs etc) so time will tell. Time in total about 3 hours so tbh even if it's once a year to keep them looking as new, it's not the end of the world.
