Yes the asking price was 42k, and I don't doubt they'd listen to sensible offers.

The prices will continue to drop as they naturally do with all performance cars. Much like they did with the Mazda RX8, people rushed out to buy one, and when they got poor mpg and high oil usage and the fear of engine rebuilds they all sold up flooding the second hand market.

Now it's clear the GTR won't have sales figures to match the RX8, but once people tire of the fear of losing their warranty if they turn off their TC, and get a few expensive bills you will see plenty more on the market.

I've been told by the Doris that we will be getting one, but atm we have other things to spend our money on.

Pete I think your £35k might be about right for a base model this time next year. Hence i'm trying to hold on til next year. Running costs are it's achilles heel.

I was lucky enough to get a pax ride in the Black secret weapon from Arran - a car beyond most drivers and road combination abilities IMHO, but with the brains to try and compensate quite competently .... and skip it does when the surface is not so smooth!

Impressive, but the running costs are scary. I foresee one of these being a wish list coming true in a couple of years ... well I can dream and plot.
