Toyota do it again

It might be worth trying a few permutations of activated/non-activated equipment to see if the stop-start issue can be forced.
A/C off entirely. A/C in Econ mode. Heated seats on or off. HiFi on or off. Window open or closed. Direction indicator on or off. Whatever.
Does the fault occur after coming to a stop in a specific gear? (I am assuming it's a manual you have).
Is the ambient temperature hot or cold when the fault occurs?
Rather than the clutch sensor, could the sensor for the gear position a suspect?
With so much code flying about in cars's systems now (written by Eastern Europeans for VAG IIRC) that it might well be a bug that occurs only when a particular sequence of events is initiated.

I think I have tried pretty much all of those scenarios and I dammed if I can't force the fault to occur to order .
Mr Audi didn't like it much when I suggested there could be a software conflict / error , pretty much stated this can't occur to an Audi !!!!!! I did laugh
I am stuck really unless I can demonstrate the problem .
