Surprising to hear. My E39 was magnificent for room, comfort, toys. Things have changed then since the famously described "world's best car". The old '39 looks old though now, I missed its Webasto heater and fairly nimble handling.

I'd have a 7er boat in a snip, it may in fact replace the 06 Golf for our cross country cruises if I can find a Gad-style bargain at some point, perhaps this year.

Regardless, making your cooking 3er similar to an M is still folly but it hasnt stopped BM i suppose
