WARNING: Specs cameras on Thelwall Viaduct
Whilst driving over thelwall viaduct (M6) this morning I glanced up at the overhead signs and noticed a suspicious looking camera, its a camera in the middle with two round objects on either side. It was the dreaded specs camera as reported on 5th gear this week. They come in pairs as they measure speed over a set distance and at the other side of the bridge I found its twin. At the moment there are works going on under the bridge and the speed limit is 40.
Just thought I would warn anyone driving on the M6, for me this is daily and I wouldnt be surprised to find a letter from PC plod on its way to me as I went through there late last night at about 60, there was no traffic on the road and 3 empty lanes but that wont save me.
Its just another example of stealth tax and this current obsession with speed cameras.
Youve been warned!!!!!!

You want to use your bike, you do
SPECS cameras are forward facing so you can go past them as fast as you like and they are never going to find you.
I went through these cameras a few weeks ago on my Scotland trip and I have not received any nasty letters in the post. I can relax a bit now.
