Default ANyone got an Torque Wrench?

So 2 days after I finally got my car inspected (Civictos2000 ill be pming you after this btw) the CEL came on and I got fired teh same day. Im fairly sure the o2 sensor wiring came loose oslt, nothing major. SO, 2 days ago after riding around town job hunting... my rear axles start creaking and popping again! I hadnt even taken my car to Honda 8 months ago over this issue. I dont have $80 laying around (as sad as it is atm)to give to Honda just to replace the 2 new hub nuts and screw them on again. So Im going to take the nuts off, regrease and put them on back to the new specs, which should fix the problem. Just was wondering if anyone has one or access to one that I can use for 15 minutes to fix this crap? Also, anyone think that Honda would fix it free of charge since it hasnt been that long ago?

Dude, paragraphs are your friend.......

Take this to your dealer and ask them to do it for free...they should(mine did).

I think the spindle nuts need to be torqued to 220 ft lbs.

the hubnuts, they charged me like $10 bucks a piece oslt and then an hour labor! AN HOUR... it only takes like 15 minuts to do both, if that. But I think this time around should be free... Im gonna call them in the morning. If it does it everyonce in awhile I wouldnt worry too much about it. Now if it sounds like the rear end is about to rip off the car then get it fixed... youll know when its gotten to be more than enough.

Why not do it yourself? Its simple.

You don't need an impact wrench. You need a torque wrench.

You might try this link in the event there is a campaign or recall for that problem.

ALrighty, so... took the car to Honda. And all they had to tell me was nothing but BAD BAD news and no news at all in the same. They tell me my differential was blown, so I ask them how the hell did my car make it up there then, then they tell me its ROARING and its gonna lock up anytime soon. Which, I kinda think maybe that is true... I mean I have 130k miles on the car so... hopefully the redline fluids will keep it intact until I can get a Ricks replacement. All they tell me about the creaking noise is that... "We think its the axles but we wont know for sure until we replace the differential." Something about the axle housings (dont think that is the correct wording) bearings or something or another could be bad. But they told me nothing specifically of what was causing the creaking noise. I kinda feel the axles are not the cause directly, the axles were doing the typical minor popping before and now all hell has broken loose. I still have the feeling that it is the spindle nuts, I dont even think they took a shot at trying them. Maybe I should?
