Hi All, Sports Bike Recommendation?
HI everyone.
I still miss my S2000 alhough I like the RX-8 but it just isnt as fun by the simple fact that it isnt a convertable although the 8 makes a better daily car.
The wife has given me permission to get a sports bike which I used to love about 15 years ago.
After doing some research, I am really leaning towards the R6.
I was just looking for comments from anyone that know owns a sports bike.
I am looking for speed and handling pure and simple. I have never liked cruisers.
Any coments on the R6 would be appreciated. Also, i am looking for one used 3 or less years old and preferably never been laid down. If anyone knows a reputable place in the Triad to purchase one.

hey man,
im also in the bid for a new bike. Depends on what you are looking for. Since im a beginner, im looking at the Honda CBR600F4i. It is overall a great bike, and has won bike of they year in 2002. Also are u planning on getting a brand new one or a used? Along with experience you could get something like a GSX-R 1000cc or something like that. Also for a more sporty ride, check out the Honda CBR 600 RR. But yea, thats my 2 cents.

P.S- 2004 Honda CBR has banana seat.....not a fan of those.

Actually, I have not ridden in about 12 years so I went ahead and got a SV650s. I did buy it new by a outfit that put on the carbon fiber kits and got the hp up.
I really wanted an R6 but since I have rode in a while I decided the RV650 made more sense. A very nice bike that if fantastic for mountain turns and has more power than an R6 down low.
I will post pictures tomorrow when there is some sunlight.
I guess I need to go take the NC motorcyle exam to be legit.

Aceprince,
I did look at the Honda's but the RV650 was just the biggest bang for the buck. I got the SV650 for about 4 grand less than the CBR 600.

Aceprince,
You have to get rid of the side plastic to add the Micron Full Exhaust system. I bought the bike new by a shop that specializes in modifiying new bikes and then resells.
As for the price, I managed to get it slightly under MSRP with the $1000 plus of mods already on it. Go to the Suzuki website if you want to see the MSRP.
