Moving (back) to Raleigh
Thanks for the input guys! I think right now we're going to look in the Brier Creek area and maybe a little farther east. My wife is very averse to a long commute, so I can pretty much guarantee we'll end up on the north west to north side of Raleigh. Anything towards Knightdale would be great for me but there's no way she would go for it. She hates highway driving (haven't figured that one out) and been spoiled for too long here with several years of a commute of of 3-8 miles and light traffic. Just the prospect of being in the car on the highway for 20+ minutes each way bothers her. She'll have to deal with it, but we'll be trying to minimize her commute as much as is reasonable.
I opted for having the longer commute between my fiancee and I when we bought our house a few months ago. She drives about 12 miles one way and I drive 36, though it takes us about the same amount of time since she's in all stop-and-go city traffic on 74 and I'm on 485 and back roads.
Happy wife, happy life...right?
