Default Need car stereo installed and speaker adapters

Looking to install a new car stereo, and fix a short somewhere that causes the radio to shut off randomly. I also need some 6.5" speaker adapters, or if you can make customs ones using the stock brackets pattern.
Let me know, thank you.

My 6.5" speakers fit fine without adapters using the stock speaker baskets. What specifically causes the need for adapters? The depth of the magnet?

Also where are you located?

So I installed a beast of a stereo. Right now I only need the speaker adapters. Hopefully I can have some custom made ones.

Yes, the magnets won't fit in. I could cut the stock baskets I suppose, but I would rather have a nicer thing in there.

I know some people have these.. http://www.car-speaker-adapters.com/items.php?id=SAK033
whether they fit right or not, I'm not sure.

I took a dremel and just cut my baskets. No need for an adapter. You'll end up with exactly the same thing as the adapter, and you can't see the mounts anyway.

Just cut the basket as long as the speaker will fit. The ones I had in there for years and might eventually go back to don't fit the stock baskets so need to build out.

I might eventually need to replace the surround on the speaker!
