they will not fit with the stock speaker basket, even if you perform radical surgery
on it. however, they'll fit perfectly fine if you replace the basket with a spacer
ring. I used:

but I believe there are generic plastic ones available at Circuit City etc. Other
people have cut their own out of MDF.
I also used the XTC foam baffles with the backs cut off to protect the speakers from
rainwater.
