If anyone has seen my pictures in the Pinehurst thread you'll see that I had the car in the shop to get the frame replaced.
Long story short.
Frame started folding incorrectly, took it in about 3 times before any damage done complaining of intermittent folding problems, and they said they didn't see anything wrong. Frame poked hole in top. Frame had jagged metal which caused it. They ordered new top. Put top on but did nothing to fix the metal. Said that they would have to replace the whole frame. Took it back in, put the new canvas that was just replaced on top of a brand new frame. Now I have 3 holes in my new top canvas. It looks as though they stretched it too much over the new frame. This may or not be the reason the frame folds incorrectly in a whole new way. Instead of the frame resting on top of the windshield it will bump into the side, inside the car and then bounce on top of the windshield. The seals attatched to my frame are not right. they have wide gaps in them. And to add insult to injury they sliced my leather console cover, and put a fine scratch in the paint. And this is the SHORT story.
Looks like I will be going in for a 3rd top, and some major frame adjustments... Any advice?
While they are at it I was thinking about going with the blue top. I think I've seen a blue top on a Sebring on honda.jp Anyone else put a blue top on their Sebring? Pictures?
The picture below is from early on after the metal bent on part of the frame. This bar in the picture shouldn't even be in this location, it should be folded downward. That point is metal. The spot weld broke as well on that bar and that is why the whole frame had to be replaced since Honda doesn't sell just that bar...
