New softtop break-in period?
Hey everyone, so I got a wonderful new top for the S2000 on now. I thought I recalled seeing a thread somewhere on the forums about waiting a certain amount of time before dropping the top down. Also, should I roll up a towel or something to place on the window when I retract the top to prevent the plastic from rubbing?
I'm not sure about the break in period, haven't heard that before. I know they put'em down when they are at the dealership. I would place a town or something to keep the back glass from getting scratched up, plus I think it allows the top to fold down with out creating any creases. Did you get a plastic or glass top?
I went with the plastic top, totally not what I wanted to get. I got too many other bills and maintenance issues to deal with a the present, unfortunately. Eitherway I was in a win/ win situation though.
I would put a towel in the well rith away to keep the plastic from getting scratched, or better yet, get a "Muz Mat".

I just replaced my soft top with another one (also with plastic window), and have been putting it up and down constantly with no adverse effects. Granted, my replacement was not a new one.
Be sure to put some Raggtop or 303 Protectant on it, and it'll stay new much longer.
