Thumbs up Soft-top break-in period?

Hey everyone, so I got a new top for the S2000 on now. I thought I rememeber reading somewhere on the forums about waiting a certain amount of time before dropping the new top down. Also, should I roll up a towel or something to place on the window when I retract the top to prevent the plastic from rubbing?

I don't know of any reason to not drop it right away.
I've never used a towel and my plastic window looks great even after 7.5 years. However, I have a well mat from MUZ since early on, and have used Plexus regularly.

Robbins suggests leaving it up for about a week so that it can stretch...that will help reduce the likelihood of wrinkles.
